Vegas Bomb Recipe

The Vegas Bomb is a cocktail made from a Royal Flush Shot and an energy drink—usually Red Bull. Like other “bomb” cocktails (such as a “sake bomb”) the drink is served as a single shot and a glass of energy drink along with it. The drinker drops the shot into the glass and drinks the whole thing together.

The name comes from the fact that Las Vegas is a popular casino destination and is synonymous with high stakes poker games. So a “Crown Royal Flush” dunked into a high energy drink is a fitting drink for those Vegas high rollers who want to go all night! But you’re probably better off ordering it at a bar than the poker table since it can get pretty messy.

What’s in a Vegas Bomb?

While some cocktails are fairly strict in their ingredients, the Vegas Bomb is meant to be a fun and flexible drink, so feel free to play with with the proportions and ingredients for your taste and what you have on hand.

The classic recipe for the Vegas Bomb cocktail is:

• Crown Royal
• Peach Schnapps
• Cranberry Juice
• Red Bull, or similar carbonated energy drink

Vegas Bomb Shot Recipe

• 1 1/4 ounces Crown Royal Whiskey
• 1/4 ounces Peach Schnapps
• 2 ounces cranberry juice
• Red Bull or other energy drink in a separate glass
• 2 - 4 ice cubes

Method

1. Combine the Crown Royal, peach schnapps, and cranberry juice in a cocktail shaker with a couple of ice cubes. A Boston-style cocktail shaker is better for most cocktails.

2. Shake for about 10 seconds to combine all of the ingredients.

3. Pour the mixture into the shot glasses, using the bar strainer to keep the ice from falling in.

4. Pour your red bull into another glass, using as much or as little as you like. Make sure that the shot glass fits into this glass.

5. Serve the shot and the glass of Red Bull together. The shot should be dropped into the glass and the whole thing drunk together quickly.
